Back to earning a living today. No real work will get done on the room.

There are some interesting related events to report. At about 6:15 this morning we were wakened by a very large boom from outside. We thought it sounded like an explosion or a big steel container being dropped. Later on, Ivy noticed that the pieces of the tub had been taken away. The booming sound was a metal scrounger dropping the tub into the back of a pickup. I imagine that the bed of his truck has a few new dents based on the sound.

When Ivy called about the trash pickup she was told that they would not pick up concrete. That means that she and I will have to load the 35 bags of tile and concrete from the ground into the truck and then dump them at the landfill ourselves. Each of those bags is 40 to 50 pounds. That will be an extra day of effort because we won’t feel like doing any work after that.

I ordered the shower pan today. We are going with a nice walk in shower rather than a tub. I  got to looking at what it would take to put in a cement tub pan and started looking for an alternative. Found it at http://www.tileredi.com/home.htm. They say that it should be here on Friday or Saturday.
