San Antonio Visit

I’ve been visiting San Antonio. I flew down for a visit for the last week. I had lots on my schedule while I was here.

I met with a realtor and checked out builders and houses for the move to SA Thursday afternoon. It looks like I’ve found a few places in Selma and Cibilo that will be nice to build a new home for us.
I got to visit with Selene, Leo, and Sophia on Friday. They were busy getting ready to move back to Austin, but it was really nice to visit with them. Sophia is a tiny little thing.
Friday I went to the AT&T offices in SA and got myself set up there. The building was pretty much empty. I’ll be back there on Mon and Tue to meet some of the SA GSI people.
I went up to judo at UT on Friday evening. I got to see some of the old crowd and a bunch of new folk there. It was good to see the club thriving.
I went to judo at Alamo Judo on Saturday. Chuck wasn’t there, but I got to see Rene, Bob, and a host of other guys that I’ve known for a while.
My sister, Melissa, drove down and we got to spend some time together on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. It was really good to see her. She is doing well.
Tony and Holly got married on Saturday and had a small wedding. It was probably the most relaxed and fun wedding I’ve been too. Mostly weddings and receptions strike me as a form of torture that falls somewhere between water boarding and sleep deprivation, but this was pretty fun. I wish Ivy could have been there.
My folks and I are scheduled for dinner with Selene and family tonight. Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to go take some pictures of a few of the houses I visited on Thursday. Tomorrow evening, Tony is going to meet me in Universal city and I’ll do judo at Universal Judo there. Work at AT&T Mon & Tue and then flying home Tuesday night. Whew!
