Ivy and I were going to slip out today and climb at Table Rock. This is the best time of year for it. Cool weather and pretty trees make for a fun day out. Unfortunately, someone ordered up some rain for our parade of two. Oh well, there is lot’s still to do on the house and we really need rain around her. Even the Kudzu is drying up.

With the bathroom finished, we have turned our attention on the master bedroom. We (mostly Ivy) pulled the old nasty carpet out. The hardwood floor underneath turned out to be in pretty good shape. We have taped the walls for painting, which should start today.

Last week I attended the US Open judo tournament down in Atlanta. The venue was great and the tournament went smoothly. I would have liked to have seen double the number of competitors, but this is American judo. Pat Burris submitted my information for promotion there. Thanks to Bert Bercera and the promotion committee, I’m now a fifth dan.
