Progress continues

Progress continues in the kitchen. We have almost finished the drywall now. W just have a little touch up here and there  – mudding the walls was really hard where we took out the old paneling. They didn’t do a good job of keeping the studs aligned. The wall was a bit wavy. One more time around with a thin coat and a light sanding and we’ll be done there.

We also have about 85% of the floor done. We can’t do any more until the back door is replaced. I put the screen door on there, I know better than to mess with the real one. The size and shape are a bit strange. I’m calling in a pro for that job. That might get done next week.

Ivy has just about figured out the colors for the room. I think they’ll look good. She will be able to do some painting while I’m in DC next week.

DC, you ask? Yep – I’m off to get trained and certified as a Certified Ethical Hacker. Ha – me, the guy that thinks pen testing is a waste of resources most of the time. Oh well. It won’t hurt me. I’m driving up because the last time I flew it took 36 hours to fly home from DC. It has gotten to where If it takes less than eight hours to drive somewhere, I’ll drive rather than subject myself to the indignities of modern air travlel.
