Progress in the kitchen hasn’t stopped. The nature of the work is much slower now. It is all little stuff that has to be done just right and has to really look good.

We got the banding around the window frames, and the handles on the cabinets all finished this weekend. The entryway from the the family room into the kitchen is the next big trim job. I’m having to replace the wood on the family room side. It is all going to be quite a chore.

The other big task is to re do the stove vent. That means cutting through the cabinet over the microwave and replacing all the old venting and the vent cover up on the roof.  Once that is done, I’ll build a casing to hide the vent away and then we can do the crown moulding. The fun will never end.
