Happy day – the kitchen is done. The touch up painting and trim work took forever, but we are done with this beast of a job.
If I look at it with fairly fresh eyes, I think it looks pretty good. Mostly though, I see every tiny detail I got just a hair wrong.
Ivy will put up some little curtains on the windows to dress them up a little, and we need to pick a color to paint the exterior door, but that’s it.
"Does that mean your house is on the market?" you ask. The answer is – almost. We are painting and straightening up some in the basement, we need to do some curb appeal stuff in the yard. Then, a bit of touch up paint around the house, and maybe a bit of work on some of the hardwood floors. Nothing more than a few weeks of slaving away.
Then we have to stage the place a bit and work out a strategy for putting a place on the market that houses two big dogs and my place of work. Not the simplest thing to do, but we’ll figure it out.
