The Charlotte judo club hosted its annual four day training camp. This year Pat Burris and Igor Yakimov returned as clinicians. Additionally, Neil Adams was a guest instructor. Neil won a couple of world championships and also happens to be one of the best teachers of judo I’ve ever seen. He really hits the basic fundamentals and relates them to how and why things work.
I taught a couple of sessions on “weird throws” that people seemed to have fun with. I also ran a coaching certification class for a handful of people. The camp was well run and lots of people (wll over 300) were on the mat for the training.
