It has been a bit since I've updated things here. We've done a ton of climbing out at Shortoff lately. Ivy and I went up Sunday. The leaves were really pretty in the gorge. There was no one else around all day long. That was great. Especially since just up the gorge at Table Rock they had parties all but fighting to get by each other on the cliff, plus there was a serious fall and a big rescue gyration to get the guy up and out. It even made the local paper.
Last month We had a visit from Deborah Lorin. I first met her way back when I was a student at UT. She and her brother were a couple of the best judo players we had on the team. Ivy and Deborah are good friends now and we had a great visit. I was only there for one day as I had to go off to Dallas for some Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity training. We went up to Moore's Wall and did a couple of climbs before I left. Ivy and Deb had a few days to pal around after I headed out. Ivy conned Deb into walking the dogs with her at some point. Here is the proof:
