Tom, Jack, and I went back to Shortoff Mountain for a day of climbing last week. We jumped on a climb called Construction Job. It turned out to be a good bit more difficult than we expected based on the rating compared to other climbs in the area. We all managed to get up the climb, though.
Here I am up on the first pitch.
The colors across the gorge were really something.
Jack Led the second pitch.
We saved the last pitch for Tom. It started off with a pretty tricky technical move followed by about eighty feet of pretty sustained overhanging rock. Whew – my arms are tired just remembering it.
