Went to Table Rock with Tom Saturday. We climbed Hanging High, an old school 5.9 that overlooks the parking lot. There was water on the rock that happened to be right in the worst places on the way up. It made for very sketchy climbing. The hanging belay on top of the second pitch was slow torture. To heck with waterboarding, all we need to do is hang terrorists from the side of a cliff in the sun for a few hours. Tom did a great job cranking through a very hard and thuggish climb on lead. The time he is spending in the climbing gym is paying off. I'm still sore and tired from following.
I'm off to Atlanta next weekend for the big points tournament where we are going to try out the first iteration of the video scouting software for USA Judo. Hopefully, we will get this running well enough to help our athletes at the next Pan Ams, Worlds, and Olympics. Dartfish has been working with us to help kickstart our program.
