Stan made it home from El Salvador in one piece. I think the trip was good for him. I am glad he is home. I miss him when he travels, even though I get to play the music loud & drive with the windows down when he is gone.

Tomorrow is my surgery.  Yikes!  Today is not a comfortable day. The meds to do the bowel cleanse is terrible, but it sure does work.  No food since 12:30 today & no liquid after midnight.  We will have to leave the house by 6:30 am to check in at the hospital by 7:30.
The surgery is scheduled for 11:00.  I should be in a room by 2:00 or 3:00. They plan to send me home Saturday. I am thinking that HOME will be my birthday present!

Just wanted to thank all our friends for their well wishes, positive thoughts & warm concerns.  I truly appreciate you all.

Stan is going to be a busy boy for a week or so. The drs. have restricted me to short walks only for the first few days & then no lifting of anything over 10 lbs for several weeks. They said I will be pretty tired for about 2 weeks.  Hopefully I will be back to "my " normal self in about 8 -12 weeks.

Guess that is about all.  Back to the bathroom & then more of the nasty medicine. Yuck!
