Life after Surgery

Ivy Speaks:

Hello all!  I had surgery Friday April 16.  The surgery went fine & although I had a hard time waking up there were no complications.  I was released Saturday morning & was very happy to be home on my birthday.  It has been a hard week not because of pain but the physical restrictions put on me. I feel great & ready to do quite a few things but I am not supposed to do any of those things yet.   Stan has been a real hero & has not complained or whined about anything asked of him. He had a new radio & speakers put in my truck for my gift.  I do so love him.

The worst part was the gas they filled my stomach with migrated up to my shoulders & that was seriously uncomfortable.  Much worse than the surgery incisions.  I see the Dr. the first week in May, for post op check.  I hope he releases some of the restrictions.  I would like to start biking or maybe a bit of hiking with a little weight.  So far I am just walking & doing very little housework stuff.

Not too bad, huh???  Certainly not the surgery of a few years ago.  This is so much less invasive & should reduce infection & really speed recovery time.  YEA!  Thank you all for the positive thoughts a well wishes. I really appreciated each one.

Mischief also had some surgery. She was sedated for a dental cleaning & while out they removed a tumor in her mouth. It was actually not a tumor but an adhesion caused by the plague on her teeth.  We were extremely grateful for that call. Mischief was a real trooper & did very well. She is back to her self now.
