It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year and a half since the last update here. Too much has happened in the last 18 months to spill it all out over this post, though. I'll just hit a couple of the significant events.
We lost our wonderful companion Mischief in April. She was a great friend. She outlived her litter mate Chaos by a couple of years and we know she missed him. We will be missing her and holding her memory close.
Ivy and I have picked up an new fun activity – sailing. We have taken a course and had some mentoring time to learn the basics. More courses are coming soon. We joined the Hill Country Yacht Club and have been out crewing during races at Canyon Lake. We are headed to Kemah to spend more time out sailing this week. Plus, we will be looking at boats for sale while we are there. Changes are coming. More on that later, though.

The kids are growing like weeds. Selene and Leo are buying a new place in Dripping Springs so there is room for the kids to run and play. Sophia is learning to ride horses and has decided she would like to learn to barrel race. That will be quite a sight.
We have not climbed as much as we would have liked – injuries and the distance have slowed things up there. I'm almost healed up from my latest round of muscle tears though. I'm looking forward to getting back on the judo mat and out on the rock again soon.
Word of the day: Saboru – Japanese for truancy, idleness, lounging, loafing, playing hooky, or otherwise taking a timeout from the world. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
