No Witnesses

Alrighty then. Last time we sailed we had passengers on the boat and people up and down the dock as I botched the simple act of pulling out of the marina and dumped Ivy into the water.

Today, Ivy and I took the boat out for a jaunt and there was no one around as we pulled out…and things couldn't have gone cleaner and smoother all day. We pulled out nice and tight, got the sails up, tacked back and forth a couple of times until the wind decided to give us a break and let us get to the dam with hardly any effort. Ivy handled the tiller for a long time, getting some experience and a better feel for handling the boat. We brought it in clean as a whistle – you'd think we knew what we were doing.

I'm going to start asking for all potential witnesses to stay away from the lake once or twice a week so we can have good sailing without the drama.
