Here are a few pictures from last summer.
We saw the eclipse and shortly thereafter participated in the worlds longest parking lot.
We did spend some good time out sailing and bobbing around on the lake.
Had a nice road trip vacation. Here is Vedauwoo and Garden of the Gods – they were asking us to come back for a climb or two.
We saw lots of nice countryside and a Full On Double Rainbow!
I even survived a horseback ride without being thrown into cactus or running out of control through the woods. I was prepared to bail out every second of the ride as I'm sure the beast was just setting me up by pretending to be docile. Horses can be sneaky that way. Fortunately, we made it back before the nefarious equine plans could come to fruition. Spending the entire ride on my feet looking for a soft place to land was a good leg workout, anyway.
Ivy had some work done on her foot. She had been having a lot of pain when walking because of a combination of bunion and the length of the two toes next to her big one. She got to where she couldn't take her exercise hikes without a lot of pain. The doctor went in and straightened and shortened things up. Frankenfoot lives! She's been in the boot for seven weeks now. With luck, it comes off this Thursday! The boot has been a challenge, but we are hoping that in the end, it will have been worth it. Ivy has been a tough cookie just putting up with the original pain. She has sailed through the surgery and aftermath without all the whining that I would have done. She was a little funny right after the surgery. The drugs they gave her messed with her memory some. She and I had the exact same conversation about three different times.
