In the process of remodeling work it is not uncommon for there to be a bit of blood, sweat, and tears. We have the sweat down pat. With temps in the nineties and high humidity, doing heavy labor while wearing masks, goggles, and hearing protection, we were dripping with sweat. I was fogging up the goggles.
As for tears, well there have been some "what are we doing moments' where we've been on the verge of tears, but no out and out sobbing has started yet.
And yes, the project has drawn first blood. I asked Ivy to grab the tape measure for me. It was in the top of our big toolbox. Unfortunately, it was sitting on top of a carpet knife.
When Ivy enthusiastically grabbed the tape measure, she cut her finger and bled on he nice clean concrete floor.
Fortunately, we had first aid equipment handy and the cut was relatively minor. Ivy will heal up quickly. I, however, will pay for having put the tape measure on top of a sharp knife for a long time. Someone has a long memory.
