I'm six weeks out from the repair job on my thumb. I'm going without my splint finally, and I'm trying to use my thumb more normally. Doorknobs are a bit of a challenge for the left hand, but other than that, I'm doing pretty good. It will be at least six more weeks until I'm free to do anything more than light activity with the left hand. The doc says I'll have some swelling and restricted movement for months. I'm doing the exercises the PT gave me and getting out to have her work on it pretty regularly. All things considered, I'm doing pretty good.
