Ivy Speaks

Once again we have fallen soo very far behind on Group W updates. I can barely believe it's been 2 years. Even more surprising is how much and how little has changed.  I'll do a few posts just trying to catch up on things.

On January 1,2020 my mom passed away. She died as I was driving through Alabama trying to get to her. I was able to speak to her on the phone just minutes before she passed thanks to family being there and holding the phone to Mom's ear. I hope she was able to hear and understand my words and that just maybe they helped her know how much she was loved,  She had the rest of the family with her offering love and support. Mom had been ill for a while and her death was hopefully a release of her suffering. Her death left a hole in all our lives.

MomShe is deeply missed. She and Stan had a ridiculously funny relationship. They gave each other such crap but each had a lot of respect for the other. It was a family joke that I was her favorite but I'm not sure the other kids found it so funny.

I miss her sarcastic humor, even the scary flash in her eyes when she was angry.  I was executor for her will so I had several trips back and forth to handle those issues and to help with Dad's needs.  New wills, changing all his paperwork with insurance, banking, etc.
