We did the Snoopy Dance yesterday. The bathroom was pronounced finished. We finally finished all the niggling little touch up stuff. It took a month or so longer than we hoped, but the results turned out pretty good.
Here are a few pictures of the finished (except for curtains) project. First is the shower. There is lots of room, the showerhead is over my head, and the tile looks pretty nice. The band of 6" tile inside the larger field tiles turned out better than I hoped. The inset for shampoo and stuff was way more work than it was worth. I should have done a simple shelf.
The vanity, sink, counter, and lights. This turned out ok. I’m not in love with the vanity, but it works. I tried every way I could to have a double sink but 48" is just not quite wide enough for it. I like the beveled cuts in the mirror.
The floor tile turned out great. I was really tickled with the pattern we used. You can see how far off square the wall is by the door. Some carpenter had too much beer at lunch fifty years ago. Today it would have been too much cerveza…
That’s it for the Master Bath. Next is a long list of outside and basement stuff. Touch up and clean up will be the name of the game. Then comes the big one. The kitchen. We still don’t know what we’ll do there.
